Earth Moons
2020 | A collection of works made entirely from natural homemade inks.
It is easy for us to see the world changing around us, but what we often fail to recognise is that we too are changing each and every moment, both internally as well as externally. Within this constant state of change we are whole and complete. These ‘Earth Moons’ are a reflection of this duality. Made entirely from natural inks, from the moment of creation these works are subject to change as the colours blend and oxidise, reflecting the way nature herself transforms with time. Each work is held within the familiar shape of a circle, whilst individualy expressed with it’s unique alchemy of colours, marks and patterns. Like us, on one level we are the same, but we have a uniqueness that lies within us that is constantly shifting, yet whole and complete within each moment.
